Serbian U/13 team on first UK rugby tour !
Meet the wonderful boys of Singidunum RFC from Belgarde, Serbia ! Thanks to the kind sponsorship of Andy Berry and a new organisation called "Tour Aid " these boys are playing rugby, visiting Twickenham and seeing the sights of London. Both hosting families and the boys are enjoying each others company and having a great time,
The boys have played two games, losing narrowly on both occasions to Reeds School and Feltonfleet School in Surrey. The Serbian boys have impressed everybody with their standard of rugby and their courage and tenacity. On Friday evening they formed the guard of honour at London Irish's premiership game with Gloucester. The Serbian ambassador to the UK was present. On Saturday the boys are off to Twickenham to see England versus Argentina and they return home on Monday - having had a memorable experience in the UK and made many, many friends along the way with their friendliness, their great behaviour and warmth.
One of the host schools is hoping to tour Belgrade next yeasr to return the favour - they will be sure of a very warm welcome from their new Serbian friends.
SOS first visited these boys in Belgrade last year and were happy to put them forward to Tour Aid as potential tourists to England under the "Tour Aid " Scheme
