Dougie meets the president! ( of georgian rugby)

Dougie Sloan with George Nijardze (President Geogria Rugbty Union) at Firhill Stadium Glasgow during the Scotland A vs Georgia match. I had a discussion with George and he told me he has seen an increase of around 40% in the numbers playing Rugby in Georgia (both Adult and Children) over the past 12 months.

He wished me to pass on his best wishes from all involved in rugby in Georgia, to all his friends at SOS/iRB Kit Aid and to again thank them for their efforts to ensure that kit was being made available to the areas where it is most needed. He is currently working with the Georgian Government to try to find a solution to the infrastructure of the game in Georgia, with specific emphasis on securing land to construct rugby pitches.
