SOS IRB Kitaid activities in the East Midlands have moved on by leaps and bounds both in terms of kit and sponsors. Many thanks to the clubs and groups of individuals who have contributed kit of all shapes and sizes: our garage is getting full!
It is timely to report that we now have a warehousing facility in Northampton, generously made available to us by Eurocontinental Logistics, part of the SMC / Mainland Group.
John Marshall, East Midlands Regional Director is pictured with Miri from Mainland’s Northampton office making the first delivery of some of the kit donated by manufacturers Samurai and Gymphlex to the warehouse.
Kit from the Notts, Lincs and Derbyshire RFU Referees’ Society was delivered at the same, so a separate thank you to them.
We also wish to acknowledge the fantastic support and assistance provided to us by Frank Ring of Clipper Logistics, without whom this warehouse deal would not have been possible.
Thanks Frank, we look forward to future co-operation and success.
As the season draws to a close, please can we remind clubs, schools, referees and those who have ‘hung up their boots’ that there is a ready outlet for used or outgrown kit. Get in touch with us and we will make sure it gets to a good home where it will help others in emerging rugby nations to play and enjoy the game.
